There will be a private family service for Raymond Glen Montcastle, age 59.  He was cremated at his request, with arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.

     He was born to Ivan and Charlotte Montcastle on July 15, 1949, and passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2009. 

     Raymond was raised in the Ames community.  He later lived and managed restaurants on the West Coast, East Coast, and Florida.  He then owned and operated a restaurant in Houston, TX.  In the early 1990’s he moved to Enid to be close to family.  Raymond enjoyed traveling throughout Europe and seeing exotic and historic places. 

     He is survived by the ones he loved the most, his mother, Charlotte Montcastle of Ames; sister Janetta Higgins and husband Barry of Ames; nephew Aaron Higgins and daughter Kira; niece Andrea Cooper and husband Chad, and their boys Cade and Chace; and niece Sara Lewallen and husband Kevin and their son Laken.

     Raymond was preceded in death by his father, Ivan Montcastle, and a grand niece Lanie Lewallen.
