The
funeral service for
Ronald “Ronnie” Dean
Nave, 53, will be at
10:00 A.M. Wednesday,
March 10, 2010, at
Central Christian
Church, with Pastor Alan
Seibel officiating.
Burial will be in
Memorial Park Cemetery,
with arrangements by
Anderson-Burris Funeral
Home. Visitation with
the family will be
Tuesday evening from
6:00 – 7:30 PM at the
funeral home.
He was born on Dec. 10,
1956 in Enid, the son of
Donald Lee Nave and
Cerita (Oliver) Nave and
died Sunday, March 7,
2010 in Enid.
Ronnie graduated from Enid High
School in 1975, where he
played a variety of
sports including
football, baseball, was
a diver for Enid
swimming team, and
participated in track
as a pole vaulter.
After high school Ronnie
attended O.S.U. and
Central State
University, where he
received his degree. He
worked for Frisco
Railroad before working
at Enid State School as
an independent living
skills instructor where
he really enjoyed
working with his
clients.
He coached his children
in many of their sports,
which included six years
coaching the Enid
Diamondbacks traveling
baseball team. He
had a strong bond with
the boys that he coached
and their families over
the years. Ronnie
enjoyed the outdoors
where he would hunt and
fish as often as he
could.
As a hobby he worked
part time as a
taxidermist and
announced the Enid High
School football games on
KNID with his good
friend Chad McKee.
He was one of the
founding members of the
Enid Greybeards, of
which he took great
pride. He also took
great pride in his new
granddaughter, Lakyn.
Ronnie was a jokester
who loved to show people
card tricks, and got
along with everyone.
Ronnie was a member of
Davis Park Christian
Church.
He is survived by four children, Ryan
Eggimann of Tulsa,
Dylan, Morgan and Rylee
Nave of Enid;
stepdaughter, Stephanie
Krahn of Enid;
granddaughter, Lakyn
Caywood of Enid; his
mother, Cerita Helt and
husband Merle of Ponca
City; his father, Donald
Nave and wife Gerry of
Houston; two sisters,
Debi Beck and husband
Tim of Hennessey, Cindy
Reeves and husband
Kenneth of Lake Charles,
LA; brother, Donald Lee
Nave, Jr. of Tulsa; and
grandmother, Thelma
Morris of Enid. He is
also survived by many
nieces and nephews, as
well as numerous
friends.
Memorials may be made through the funeral
home to the Nave
Children Education
Fund.
