A Memorial Mass for Nita R. Maly, age 66, of Enid, will be at 2:30 PM Sunday March 30, 2008, at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, with Rev. Larry Kowalski officiating.  Burial will be at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia.  Cremation arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.

            She was born to Edmond M. and Millie (Case) Iven on September 7, 1941 in Wewoka, OK, and died Monday, March 24, 2008 at her home in Enid.

            Nita grew up in Enid, and graduated from Enid High School in 1959.  She was a Civil Service employee, working for thirty years, from 1971 to 2001.  On January 11, 1994, she married James K. Beaty, Jr. in Alexandria, VA.  They moved to Enid in September 2001.  She was a member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church.  Nita was also a member of the Enid Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors, Garfield County Republican Women, and a life member of Sigma Phi Gamma Society. 

            She is survived by two sons, Jerry Dale Maly, and Terry Dean Maly, and an adopted grandson Nathan, all of Enid; one daughter Michele Beth Long of Woodbridge, VA; three grandchildren, Donald, Christopher, and Kimberly; and one brother E. Dale Iven of Euless, TX.

            Nita was preceded in death by her husband, James and her parents.
