Norma
Rae Lee was born to J.B.
and Berdie Celestina Lee
on Jan. 10, 1942, in
Portales, NM, and passed
away on Saturday, Jan.
12, 2008 in Enid, at the
age of 66.
She
grew up in Portales and
graduated from Portales
High School. She
graduated from Eastern
New Mexico University,
earning a degree in
Library Science. She
then worked at the state
library in Santa Fe, New
Mexico. Throughout
Norma’s life, she was
faced with many
challenges. Not only
did she fight them
bravely, she conquered
them all.
Norma
is survived by her
sister, N. Fae (Lee)
Wilson and husband Dr.
R. Joe Wilson, of Enid;
brother J.B. Lee, Jr.
and wife Bobbie of
Ransom Canyon, Tx.;
niece Celesta Champagne
and husband Jude, and
their son Caden of
Carthage, Mo.; nephew
Nathan Wilson and wife
Anndria, and their
daughter Landree of
McKinney, Tx. She was
preceded in death by her
parents and sister Lois
Lorene Lee.
The
family had a private
memorial service for
Norma. Cremation
arrangements were by
Anderson-Burris Funeral
Home.
