A memorial service for Norma Louise Seymour Stainsby, age 81, will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, September 8, 2007, at the Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Chaplain Steve Meier officiating.  Cremation arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.  There will be no viewing or visitation at the funeral home.

She was born to James William and Erna Marie (Hansen) Connell on December 19, 1925, in Louisville, Kentucky, and died Monday, August 20, 2007, at The Commons in Enid.

Norma grew up and attended school in Illinois.  She later received Nurses Training at Peoria, Illinois.    She worked as a Registered Nurse.  On September 8, 1989, she married Donald L. Stainsby in Blantyre, Malawi, Africa. 

She is survived by her husband Donald of the home; her children, Wendy Lamon of Enid, Bruce Seymour of Enid, Terence Seymour of Oklahoma City, Jean Ball of Peoria, Illinois, and Mike Stainsby of Portland, OR; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; one great, great-grandchild; one brother J. Douglas Connell of Little York, Illinois, and sister Mary Ranney of North Ft. Myers, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Erna Connell, her first husband, Jack Seymour, son John William Seymour of Vossberg, MS, and daughter Susan Kuni of Portland, OR.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Ross Hospice.
