memorial service for
Albert LeRoy O達ryant,
age 87, of Enid, will be
at 10:00 A.M. Saturday,
May 23, 2009, at the
Anderson-Burris Funeral
Home Chapel, with Rev.
Roberto Quant
officiating. Cremation
arrangements are by
Anderson-Burris Funeral
Home and Crematory.
There will be no viewing
or visitation at the
funeral home.
He was born to Bert
Elmer and Allie May (Redwine)
O達ryant on July 3,
1921, in OK, and died
Tuesday, May 19, 2009,
at St. Mary痴 Regional
Medical Center in Enid.
Albert grew up in
Cushing, Stillwater, and
Red Oak. He then served
in the U.S. Navy during
World War II. After his
military service, he
resided in California
for two years before
moving to Dallas, TX.
He married Paula McCabe,
and they had three sons.
Albert worked for
General Motors in
Detroit, MI as a
millwright. After his
retirement in 1983, they
moved to Hennessey.
They were married for
forty years before she
died in 1991. On
September 2, 2000, he
married Merlene Miller
in Hennessey, and they
made their home in
Enid. He was a member
of St. Joseph Catholic
Church in Hennessey.
He is survived by
his wife Merlene of the
home; two sons, Albert
O達ryant of Detroit, MI,
and Justin O達ryant of
Hennessey; one
grandchild Calie
O達ryant; and one sister
Dorothy Crosswhite of
Dover.
Albert was preceded
in death by his first
wife Paula, his son
Paul, brother John, and
sister Polly Ann McCoy.
