A family memorial service for Ruth Partridge, 77 of Enid, formerly of Alabama will be held in Alabama at a later date.  Cremation arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.

        Ruth was born on August 14, 1931 in Andalusia, Alabama to Oscar and Lessie (Hutto) Gunter and died on November 1, 2008 in Enid, Oklahoma.  She grew up and attended school in Andalusia.  Ruth worked as a weaver for West Point Pepprell Mill for many years before retiring from there.  She loved and lived for her children and grandchildren.  Ruth moved to Enid in 1995. 

        She was preceded in death by her husbands, Hollis Jackson, Sr., and Euel Partridge Sr.; a daughter, Martha Bolling; and a grandson Michael Jackson.

        She is survived by three children, Hollis Mitchell Jackson, Jr. and wife, Sandra of Samson, Alabama, Euel Partridge, Jr. of Opelika, Alabama, and Stephanie Whatley, and husband, Mike of Enid; 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.
