Burial for Adella Louise
Pospisil Patocka,
age 73, will be at 12:00
noon Monday, October 26,
2009, at St. Francis
Xavier Catholic Church
with Rev. Kevin
Ratterman officiating.
Visitation will be
Sunday evening from 7:00
to 9:00 PM at the
church. Recitation
of the Rosary will be at
8:30 PM with Deacon Tony
Crispo officiating. Burial will be
in Calvary Cemetery with
arrangements by
Anderson-Burris Funeral
Home.
She was born
to John Frank and Mary
Jane (Plisek) Pospisil
on August 25, 1936, at
St. Mary’s Hospital in
Enid, and passed away
Friday, October 23, 2009
at St. Mary’s Hospital
in Enid.
She grew up in
Carrier and graduated
from Carrier High
School. On October 11,
1955, she married
Richard Lee Patocka at
St. Joseph’s Catholic
Church in Hennessey, and
they made their home in
Enid. She was a loving
wife, homemaker and
mother of five
children. Adella was a
telephone operator for
Southwestern Bell and a
CNA at St. Mary’s
Hospital for more than
twenty-nine years. She
was an Election Board
Employee, a charter
member and 2002 Queen of
the # 1 Oklahoma Polka
Club, and Cub Scout den
leader. She was a
member of St. Francis
Xavier Catholic Church
and was involved in
various church groups.
Adella was a loving
supporter of her
military veteran
husband.
She is survived
by her husband Richard
of the home; two
daughters, Donna Patocka
of Enid, and Diana
Bledsoe and husband
Gregg of Bison; three
sons, Richard Patocka,
Jr., David Patocka, and
Darrell Patocka and wife
Kathy, all of Enid; two
grandchildren; two
great-grandchildren;
three
step-grandchildren;
brother William Pospisil
and wife Elverda of
Carrier; and sister
Clara Wurth and husband
William of Enid; nieces,
nephews and many
friends.
Adella was
preceded in death by her
parents, sister Agnes
and husband John Lavicky,
sister Mary and husband
Robert Bray, and brother
John Pospisil
Memorials may be made
through the funeral home
to Our Daily Bread, St.
Francis Xavier Catholic
Church or # 1 Oklahoma
Polka Club.
