A memorial service for Paul Hindman, age 69, of Enid, will be at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 13, 2008,  at the Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Jeff Jackson officiating. There will be no viewing or visitation.  Cremation arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.

        He was born to Paul and Ruby (Steele) Rootes on May 10, 1939, in Indiana, and died Saturday, August 9, 2008, at his home in Enid.

         Paul grew up in Indiana, and then lived in California before moving to Oregon in the early 1980’s.  He was a self-employed painter.  On November 10, 1999, he married Virginia M. Rush in Salem, Oregon.  They moved to Enid in 2000.

         He is survived by his wife Virginia, of the home; two stepdaughters, Ladeana Keller of Wichita, KS and Loretta Northrop of Enid; two stepsons, Timothy Parker of California, and Earl Delano of Enid; thirteen grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

         Paul was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
