A visitation with the
family of T.O. Phillips,
age 87, will be Friday
evening, June 11, 2010,
from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at
Anderson-Burris Funeral
Home.
T.O. was born to
Truitt and Beulah
(Smith) Phillips on
October 26, 1922, in
Stratford, Oklahoma, and
died Tuesday, June 8,
2010 in Enid.
He graduated from
Stratford High School in
1940, where he played
baseball and
basketball. He then
served in World War II
in the 740th
Tank Battalion in
Europe. T.O. received
the Purple Heart with
Oak Leaf Clusters and
the Bronze Star For
Valor. After the war he
returned to Oklahoma
City and married Mary
Henry on March 30,
1946. He worked in
Oklahoma City, Texas,
Wyoming, and Enid for
Champlin Petroleum for
38 ½ years. T.O.
retired in 1983 and
moved back to Enid. He
enjoyed his family,
friends, fishing,
baseball, and greatly
loved his five
grandchildren.
He is survived by
his wife Mary; son Keith
Phillips (Cathy) of
Tulsa; daughter Kristi Tebow
(Keith) of Enid;
grandchildren,
Christopher, Conner and
Colin Phillips, Kelli
and Kyle Tebow.
T.O. was preceded
in death by his brother
Bill.
