The funeral service for
Raymona “Kaye” Potts,
age 63, of Enid, will be
at 1:00 PM Saturday,
January 17, 2009, at the
Anderson-Burris Funeral
Home Chapel, with Rev.
Steve Meier and Grandson
Mr. Michael Bryant
officiating. Burial
will be in the Fairview
Cemetery, with
arrangements by
Anderson-Burris Funeral
Home.
She was born to Raymond
Alexander and Ruthalene
(Kusch) Kirk on January
18, 1945, in Enid, and
died Wednesday, January
14, 2009, at her home in
Enid.
Kaye grew up in
Fairview, and helped
raise her brothers and
sisters. She married
Verland Holub in
Fairview in 1965, and to
this union were born
three daughters Donna,
Patty, and Elaine. She
worked in various
restaurants as a
waitress and also helped
her parents in their
produce business. She
later married Paul
Potts, and they traveled
all over the United
States with his roofing
job, making their home
in Texas and Oklahoma.
In 1989, they moved to
Enid, and Kaye worked at
several restaurants,
most recently Coffee Talk,
Chat & Chew, and Sue’s
Place. She enjoyed
crocheting, playing
Bingo and playing
cards. She especially
loved her dogs, Little
Bit and Cocoa.
She is survived by three
daughters, Donna Kaye (Holub)
Bryant and husband Kevin
of Fairview, Patricia
“Patty” Ann (Holub)
Jantzen and husband
Vernie of Ringwood, and
Carolyn “Elaine” (Holub)
Nester of Oklahoma City;
five grandchildren,
Misty Elliott, Michael
Bryant, Craig Bryant,
Dustin Jantzen, and Todd
Bryant; four
great-grandchildren,
Haylee, Cambri, Michael,
and Haden; two brothers,
Raymond Kirk, of Noble,
and Bob Kirk, of Lahoma;
two sisters, Frances
Malone of Missouri, and
Thelma Weber of Canton.
Kaye was preceded in
death by her parents,
two brothers Danny and
Jerry, two sisters Nelda
and Patsy; and husband
Paul Potts in March
2006.
Memorials may be made
through the funeral home
to Ross Hospice or
Y.W.C.A. Crisis Center.
