The funeral service for Jaunita Viola Pritchett, age 95, will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010 at Waukomis Christian Church, with Rev. David Jones officiating.  Burial will be in Waukomis Cemetery with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

   She was born to Charles E. and Alice (Odom) Metz on Nov. 12, 1914, in Waukomis, and passed away Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Enid.

   Jaunita grew up in Waukomis and graduated from Waukomis High School.  In 1938 she married Carl Pritchett in Waukomis.  They lived in Alva and then moved to Wichita, KS.  In 1966, they moved to North Enid, where she resided until her death.  She was a member of Waukomis Christian Church.  She was active with the Senior Citizens of North Enid, often making telephone calls to remind members of monthly meetings.  She enjoyed visiting with friends and neighbors.

   She is survived by her son Charles “Chuck” Pritchett and his wife Joanne of Enid; one grandchild, Cara Jackson and husband Mike of Enid; and great grandchild Cadence Jackson.      

   She was preceded in death by her husband Carl and brother George Metz
