The funeral for Amy Dawn
Ragan, age 33, will be
at 2:00 PM Tuesday,
October 27, 2009, at the
Anderson-Burris Funeral
Home Chapel, with Pastor
Danny Marney
officiating. Burial
will be in the Hennessey
Cemetery, with
arrangements by
Anderson-Burris Funeral
Home. Visitation
with the family will be
Monday evening from 6:00
to 7:30 PM at the
funeral home.
She was born
to Richard Alfred and
Debbie Iona (Rogers)
Ragan on July 6, 1976,
in Enid, and passed away
Friday, October 23,
2009, at her home in
Enid.
Amy grew up
in Duncan area and
Broken Arrow and
graduated from Broken
Arrow High School. She
then attended
Northeastern State
University in
Tahlequah. Her greatest
love was art and she
aspired to become an
Art Therapist. Enid has
been her home since
1994. She was employed
at Ross as a manager
until her illness. She
enjoyed making jewelry
and crafts with her
friend Leila, painting
and cooking.. She was a
defender of animals and
their rights. Amy wrote
nightly letters to God
and was a good friend to
everyone in need, always
cheerful and humming a
tune.
She is
survived by her parents,
Richard and Debbie Ragan
of Enid; brother Richard
and wife Megan of
Mooreland; maternal
grandparents Ted and
Peggy Rogers of Enid;
paternal grandparents
A.J. and Irene Ragan of
Bixby; aunts Sherry
Smith and husband Tony
of Phoenix, AZ, Nancy
Hoard and husband Bob of
Bixby, and Susie Walters
and husband Milt of
Midwest City; uncle Ted
Rogers of Enid; cousins,
nieces, nephews, and
best friend Leila Graham
and Korbi of Hennessey,
and her pets Romeo,
Gracie, Bailey and
Boomer.
Amy was
preceded in death by
Uncle James Marvin
Ragan, maternal great
grandparents Bert and
Minnie Choate, Zada and
Rob Nighswonger, Ted and
Ruby Rogers, paternal
great grandparents
Clarence Marvin, Laura
Ragan, Ida and Jim
Montgomery.
