A graveside
service for Raymond L.
Koegel, age 80, will be
at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday,
February 6, 2008, at the
Memorial Park Garden
Chapel, with Rev. John
McLemore officiating.
Arrangements are by
Anderson-Burris Funeral
Home.
He was born
to Albert H. and Bernice
(Herbison) Koegel on
September 12, 1927, in
St. Joseph, Missouri,
and died Sunday,
February 3, 2008, at St.
Mary’s Regional Health
Center.
Raymond grew
up in St. Joseph and
graduated from Lafayette
High School. He then
served in the United
States Marines from1945
to 1951. After his
discharge from the
Marines, he married
Connie Yeakley on June
8, 1952 in St. Joseph.
They made their home in
St. Joseph for one year
before moving to Dallas,
where they lived one
year. They then moved
to Irving, TX and
resided there for twelve
years. Raymond was
transferred to Enid,
working at Speedstar.
He later worked as an
accountant for Central
National Bank for
thirteen years until his
retirement. Raymond
enjoyed traveling,
feeding the birds and
squirrels, and was an
avid Dallas Cowboy fan.
He was a member of
Central Christian
Church.
He is
survived by his wife
Connie, of the home;
daughter Cynthia
Worthington and husband
Gary of Dallas, TX, son
Eric Koegel and wife
Penny of Edmond; two
grandchildren, Jeremy
Hammonds and wife
Amanda, and Janessa
Hammonds; and one
step-grandson, Dusty
Franklin.
Raymond was
preceded in death by his
brother Albert C. Koegel,
and two sisters,
Margaret E. Frank and
Evelyn J. Wayne.
Memorials
may be made through the
funeral home to Central
Christian Church.
