A graveside service for Raymond Robert Burcham, age 85, will be at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 26, 2007, at Memorial Park Garden Chapel, with Rev. Wayne  Pittman officiating.  Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

            Raymond was born to Ira L. and Grace E. (Hart) Burcham on October 23, 1922, in Cleveland, Oklahoma, and died Sunday, December 16, 2007, at St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Enid.

            His family moved to Woodward in 1927, and to Enid in 1937.  He served in the United States Navy.  After his discharge from the Navy, he returned to Enid, where he worked at Enid News and Eagle for a time.  He was then employed by Enid School District working as a custodian at Emerson School.  He worked there until his retirement.  He was a member of the Jehovah Witness, and was active in church work.  He also enjoyed gardening.

            Ray is survived by his brother Cecil O. Burcham of Enid; two sisters, Juanita Burchfield and husband Bill of Enid, and Minnie Ruth Shotwell of Sunnyside, WA; and several nieces and nephews.

            He was preceded in death by brother Ollan L. Burcham and sister Rosa Mae Peterson.
