| My husband and I
just returned from taking our new pastor
in Benicia, California out to dinner and
decided that he would be our "new Fr.
Flusche". Thought I would l ook online
and see what Fr. Flusche was up to, just
to find out that he passed last month.
We enjoy sharing with friends how Fr.
Flusche would come over to our house in
Ardmore, OK with a fresh loaf of his
freshly baked bread and a wonderful
bottle of wine. We really enjoyed his
company and we shared many "views" of
the "way of life" in Ardmore, Oklahoma.
He was one of the first people to
contact me in Arkansas City, Kansas when
her my was murdered. He called and
offered a special mass for my sister in
Norman OK. Our own minister in Ardmore
never contacted us or came to our house.
We love Fr. Flusche and hold him in our
hearts forever. Thank you Fr. Flusche
for making an impact on our lives. He
will be missed by many all over this
world. |

| The memory of Fr.
Fleusche will linger long in my heart.
What a wonderful individual with such a
generous spirit for the poor, & for His
Lord. He was always an inspiration to
me, & after I left Oklahoma City, I
tried to keep in touch through the
Sooner Catholic. I felt so privileged
that he attended my Golden Jubilee. |

| God has received
a good and faithful servant into his
kingdom. Our first mass at Christ the
King church in okc was the first Sunday
mass for fathers Flueshe and Petusky
June of nineteen sixty eight. Father
Flueshe installed me as the state deputy
for the Oklahoma Knights of Columbus
July nineteen seventy five. A blessing
from him. What a beautiful service for
Father today I have never seen the
cathedral so full as it was today. May
he rest in peace. |

| Fr. Flusche
presided at the funerals of five of my
family members over the years and I will
never forget the words he used to
characterize my grandfather at his
funeral. He was spot on with them and
they are appropos for Fr. Flusche as
well: "He was a man of gentle
rectitude." I thank God that He allowed
me to cross paths with Fr. Flusche on
this earth. My condolences to his
family. He will be in my prayers. |

these on a daily basis and all who knew
him were touched by his grace. His loss

there be peace and reconciliation with
all of you in the difficult days ahead. |

| Father Flusche
was a very good person and a friend of
the family. He baptized my son, Joseph,
and never missed a chance to savor mom s
homemade ice cream. I do not know who
smiled the biggest, Father, dad, or mom
, through a nice evening, good meal, and
homemade ice cream. Father came swiftly
to comfort mom and dad when mom was in
St. Mary s Medical Hospital for stroke
recovery, even though Father himself was
recovering from a car accident injury.
He is well thought of and we will miss
him. So well thought of, that dad is
sure that God himself showed up with
wide open arms to take Father Flusche to
the Heavenly home. In the words of
songwriter Rich Mullins: God is standing
by, so hush, do not worry, do not cry
God is standing near, just look up
towards Heaven, He will be right there. |

| In my life's
entirety I don't recall loving another
human being as much as Father Flusche.
He was my priest, mentor but primarily
my friend. My heart is filled with
sadness that I will not see him again.
The world is a much better place because
of Father, the goodness and compassion
he had for others will live on forever.
Trying to digest Father being gone is
difficult but I know through Father my
life was touched by the hand of God. |

of my life is my friendship with Father
Flusche. There was no topic about which
he could not wax poetically: my
chickens, his wine, bread making,

gave me good quiet counsel. With Father,
I knew I could count on his wisdom and
