A funeral service for Ricky Louis Vodry, age 60, of Yukon, will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday July 12, 2008, at the Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Eric Brown officiating.  Burial will follow in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery at Lahoma.  Visitation with family and friends will be held Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

     Ricky was born to Herschel Louis and Viola Mae (Dexter) Vodry on June 10, 1948 in Pontiac, Michigan, and died on July 8, 2008 in Oklahoma City.

     Ricky grew up in Michigan, and joined the Army where he served for ten years.  He moved to Fairview and he worked as a mechanic, oil field pumper, and later became a truck driver.  On July 19, 2002 he married Karla Jodell Jenkins in Eureka Springs Arkansas.  They moved to Yukon in 2004.  Ricky enjoyed playing softball, bowling, golf and dancing. 

    He is survived by his wife Jodell of the home; a son Shannon Vodry and wife Brandy of Lawton; a daughter Sonya Guerrero and husband Marco of Mustang; a step-daughter Brandi Rowell and husband Robert of Tulsa; and a step-son Brian Jenkins of Ft. Hood, Killeen, TX.; 7 grandchildren; three sisters Vickie Torrington and husband Dave of Florida, Betty Kujawa and husband James of Michigan, and Debra Winthers and husband Bryce of Arizona. 

    Ricky was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother Edward Vodry.
