A memorial
service for Robert “Bob”
Lee Packan, age 33, of
Okarche, will be at 2:00
P.M. Friday, February
15, 2008, at the
Anderson-Burris Funeral
Home Chapel, with Rev.
James Inman
officiating. Cremation
arrangements were by
Anderson-Burris Funeral
Home and Crematory.
Private family burial
will be in Ames Cemetery
at a later date.
He was born
to David Andrew and
Kathy E. (Shoemaker)
Packan on February 28,
1974 in Pittsburg,
Pennsylvania, and went
to be with his Lord and
Savior on Tuesday,
February 12, 2008, at
his home in Okarche.
Bob
graduated from High
School in Apache
Junction, Arizona in
1993. . On March 17,
1995, he married Melissa
LeeAnn Cottom in Ames,
and he worked as a
natural gas mechanic in
the oil and gas
industry. In 2002, he
graduated from OSU
Okmulgee Tech with an
Associate Degree in
Diesel and Heavy
Equipment, and they made
their home in Okarche.
Bob was a member of
First Baptist Church in
Okarche. He enjoyed
fishing, hunting,
spending time with his
son, family and
friends. He was an OSU
and Pittsburg Steeelers
fan.
He is
survived by his wife
Melissa of the home; son
Dalton “Ty” Packan and
daughter Hannah Jo
Packan, both of the
home; father David
Packan and wife Marie of
Aliquippa, PN : mother
Kathy Packan Morgan of
Enid; inlaws Gerald and
JoAnn Cottom of Ames;
and two brothers
William David Packan of
Maine and Justin Packan
of Aliquippa, PN.
Bob was
preceded in death by his
grandfather, Andrew
Packan, and
grandparents, William
and Opal Shoemaker.
Memorials
may be made through the
funeral home to Robert
Packan’s Children’s
Education Fund or First
Baptist Church in
Okarche.
