            The family of Robert Leon Yutzy, Sr. will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday evening, Dec. 5, 2006, at the Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.    They will also greet friends Thursday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the Elliott Mortuary in Hutchinson, KS.   A  Memorial Service will be at 10:00 A.M. Friday, December 8, 2006, at the Elliott Mortuary in Hutchinson, with Connie Warrington officiating.

            Robert was born to Daniel and Mary (Hochstetler) Yutzy on September 23, 1934, in Nickerson, Kansas, and went to be with his Lord on  Saturday, December 2, 2006, at his home in Enid..

            He grew up in Iowa, attending schools there.  On February 1, 1956, he married Ruth Whan in Topeka, Kansas, and they made their home in Hutchinson, KS .  He was employed as a truck driver.  Ruth died March 20, 1962.    After his retirement, he moved to Enid in 1999. 

            He is survived by one daughter, Lori Bernardo and husband Lou, Jr. of Wichita, KS; one son Robert Yutzy, Jr. of Goessel, KS; two grandchildren, Michael Bernardo and Krysta Yutzy; special daughter, Sharon Redd of Wichita, KS; three brothers, Paul Yutzy of  Dolan Springs Arizona, John Yutzy of Hutchinson, KS, and Bill Yutzy of El Dorado, Ark.; two sisters Elizabeth Adams of Holmes Beach, FL, and Emma Miller of Hutchinson, KS; and many very special friends.

            Robert was preceded in death by his wife Ruth, parents, and brother Fred Yutzy.

            Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Ross Hospice or Robert L. Yutzy, Sr. Memorial Fund.
