The funeral for Ruth E. Reneau, age 91, will be at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday August 19, 2008at the Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Bob Smith officiating.  Burial will be at 2:00 P.M. in the Wakita Cemetery, with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

            She was born to Samuel “Flemmy” and Ruthia “Belle” (Bebout) Cranmer on July 7, 1917 in Morrison, Oklahoma and died Saturday, August 16, 2008 at The Commons in Enid.

            Ruth grew up in the Gore community, and attended school at Gore Consolidated Schools.                                         

On November 28, 1954, she married Perry Reneau in Wichita, KS.  She worked as a CMA for the Wakita Nursing Home.  Ruth was a member of the Enid First Church of the Nazarene.

            She is survived by two daughters, Cleda Wells of Enid, Janice Clendennen of Justin, TX; five step daughters, Shirley Meadows of Anderson, MO., Faye Reneau of Pineville, MO.,  Frances Kemp of Henderson, KY, Carolyn Christin of Mendota, IL, and Marlene Michael of Robards, KY; a step son, Max Reneau of Warrensburg, MO; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, Dale Cranmer of Caldwell, KS, and Bert Cranmer of Wellington, KS; and one sister, Ruby Smith of Bainbridge Island, WA .

            Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Perry, and four brothers Ed, Ira, Ernie, and Russell Cranmer.

            Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Methodist Care Center at The Commons or Ross Hospice.
