            A funeral service for Shirley R. Weaver, age 83, of Enid, will be at 9:30 A.M. Wednesday May 16, 2007 in the Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. J. Randal Hackworth officiating.  Graveside service will be at 1:00 P.M. in the Big Creek Church of the Brethren Cemetery in Cushing, with Rev. John Holderread officiating.  Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

            She was born to Charles and Rosa (Goodwin) Turley on January 27, 1924, in Wynnewood, and died Wednesday, May 9, 2007, in Enid.

            Shirley grew up in Wynnewood, attending school there.  On January 27, 1939, she married Everett J. Weaver in Wynnewood, and they made their home in Wynnewood.  During World War II, she followed her husband, then they returned to Elmore City before moving to Cushing in 1946.  They lived in Stillwater from 1957 to 1968, when they moved to Enid.  Her greatest privilege was being the mother of five wonderful children.  She was a member of the Church of the Brethren, and held many offices in the church.  She also was the Secretary for the District Office of the Church of the Brethren.  Shirley was the first Treasurer of the Pioneer-Pleasant Vale Band Booster Club.  She worked in sales for Wal-Mart and attended Community Church of the Plains.

            She is survived by two sons, Tom Weaver and wife Lana of Fairview, and David Weaver of Wenatchee, WA; two daughters, Carolyn Allen and husband Dan of Page, AZ, and Sandra Ketch and husband A.J. of Stillwater; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one great, great grandchild; two brothers; and five sisters.

            Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Everett in 1996, son Scott, and six brothers.

            Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation Breast Cancer Division.
