Mrs. Ilo L. Siewert, of
Enid, formerly of
Glencoe, Minnesota,
passed away on Aug. 12,
2009. Viewing will be
Friday and Saturday at
Anderson-Burris Funeral
Home. A Memorial
Service is to be held at
3:00 PM Saturday, Aug.
15, 2009, at Burgundy
Place, 1600 W. Willow
Road in Enid, with
Pastor Christopher Hall,
of Redeemer Lutheran
Church, officiating.
Soloists are Mike
Weatherford and Jeffrey
Siewert, and pianist is
Rev. Bruce Melton.
Interment will follow
later in the Lutheran
Cemetery at her former
home in Glencoe, MN.
Honorary pallbearers
are: Veryl Jungclaus,
Lowell Beihoffer,
Bradley Siewert, Kai
Siewert, Barbara Rolf,
and Debra Klaustermeier
Ilo L. Siewert was
born in the Glencoe area
on March 14, 1913, the
daughter of William and
Anne (Meyer) Jungclaus.
She was baptized and
confirmed by the
Reverend Kolbe, at First
Evangelical Lutheran
Church in Glencoe. She
was united in marriage
to Carl W. Siewert, in
1933. The marriage was
blessed with two sons:
Wendell Siewert of Enid,
Oklahoma, and Sheldon
Siewert of Florence,
Oregon.
She was a lifelong
member of First Lutheran
Church in Glencoe, and a
longtime active member
of the Women’s
Missionary Society. She
was also active in the
American Legion
Auxiliary, and employed
for many years at
Glencoe Regional Health
Center.
She is survived by
her son Wendell and
daughter-in-law, Mavis
Siewert of Enid, and son
Sheldon and
daughter-in-law, Joy
Siewert of Florence, OR;
five grandchildren,
seven
great-grandchildren; two
sisters-in-law, many
nieces and nephews, and
friends both in Enid and
near her birthplace in
Minnesota.
She was preceded
in death by her husband
Carl, her brother and
sister-in-law, George
and Melinda Jungclaus,
and a niece, Lois
Beihoffer.
Memorials may be made
through the funeral home
to Mission of the Loving
Shepherd.
