    The funeral for Iona “Marie” Sissons, age 53, will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 14, 2009, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Wade Burleson and Rev. Wayne Sissons officiating.  Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

    She was born to William and Mossie Iona (Gilliam) Sissons on May 11, 1956, in Prague, OK, and died Wednesday, November 11, 2009 in Enid.

    Marie attended school at Meeker and Woodward and graduated from Enid High School in 1975.  She studied nursing at Autry Tech and later attended High Plains Vo-Tech in Woodward.  While living in Woodward, she worked at the Woodward Hospital.  Marie moved back to Enid in March 1995, and began working at Pay-Less Shoes.  She was currently employed at Star-Tek. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, where she participated in the Women’s Tuesday Evening Bible Study.

    She is survived by four brothers, Donald Sissons of Mobile, AL, James Sissons of Coyle, Leonard Sissons of Midwest City, and Franklin Sissons of Duncan; three sisters, Stella Moser of Woodward, Loretta Wanzer of Enid, and Edith Huckaby of Buffalo.

    Marie was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, one sister, grandparents, aunts and uncles, brother-in-law and sister-in-law.

    Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation – Cancer Division or Baptist Foundation.
