Memorial Service for Roy
Dea Sliger, Jr., age 65,
will be held at 10:00 AM
Friday, April 3, 2009,
at Anderson-Burris
Funeral Home Chapel,
with Rev. Jeff Jackson
officiating.
Cremation arrangements
are by Anderson-Burris
Funeral Home and
Crematory.
He was born to Roy
Dea and Ina Lorene
(Johnson) Sliger on
December 27, 1943, in
Stonewall, and died
Monday, March 30, 2009,
at his home in Enid.
Roy grew up in
Harden City and
graduated from McLish
High School. He then
attended Murray State
College. On July 31,
1962, he married Dorothy
Miller in Fittstown, and
they made their home in
Enid. Roy worked for
Waller Glass for fifteen
years and was also a
realtor. He owned and
operated a used car
dealership, Sliger Used
Cars, for thirty
years. Roy also
provided a courier
service and was a
maintenance technician
at Central National Bank
for seven years. He
previously was a member
of the Masons and
Shrine. Roy loved
hunting, fishing, his
family, and pets.
He is survived by
his wife Dorothy of the
home; two sons, Steven
Dea Sliger and wife
Elvira of Kempner, TX,
and Clayton Robert
Sliger of Oklahoma City;
one grandchild, Cody
Sliger; and three
brothers Lanny Sliger of
Ada, Mark Sliger of
Harden City, and Jeff
Sliger of Ada.
Roy was preceded in
death by his parents Roy
Sr. and Lorene; and one
sister Deborah Joan
Bragg.
