The funeral service for Willis Ray Smith, age 75, of Enid will be at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday January 21, 2009, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home, with Rev. Terry Chick officiating.  Burial will follow in the New Hopedale Cemetery, in Meno.  Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.  Visitation with the family will be Tuesday evening 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. 

     Willis was born to Henry and Myrtle (Eck) Smith on June 5, 1933 in the Meno Area, and died on Sunday January 18, 2009 in Enid.

     He attended a country school in the Meno area.  On August 14, 1965 he married Vida Scheffe at the Trinity Lutheran Church.  They moved to Enid in 1965, where he worked and raised his family.  Willis was a member of Bible Baptist Church. 

     Willis is survived by his 4 children, Randy Smith and Deana, Gloria Cash, Reta Freeman, and Roger Smith, all of Enid; 5 grandchildren, Andrew Freeman, Travis Cash, Marisa Smith, Amanda Lewis, and Nathan Smith; 5 brothers, Harry Smith, of Lahoma, Marion Smith of Enid, George Smith of Wheatridge, CO, Roger Smith of Edmond, and Delton Smith of Enid; 5 sisters, Gladys Koehn of KS, Geraline Buller of Meno, Margie Welch of Irving, TX, Peggy Smith of Del City, and Lucinda Sissons of Midwest City.

     He was preceded in death by his parents.
