A graveside service for
Thelma Amelia Cochran,
age 79, of Daisy,
Arkansas, will be at
10:00 A.M. Monday,
August 4, 2008, at the
Lamont Cemetery, with
Rev. Kevin Ratterman
officiating.
Arrangements are by
Anderson-Burris Funeral
Home. Visitation with
the family will be
Sunday evening from 6:00
to 7:30 P.M. at the
funeral home.
She was
born to Frank and Nora
(McCullen) Krkosska on
July 31, 1929, in
Ellinwood, Kansas, and
died Thursday, July 31,
2008, at her home in
Daisy, Arkansas.
Thelma grew
up in Eureka Springs and
Harrison, Arkansas. She
worked at the Harrison
Theater and then as a
telephone operator. On
October 9, 1959, she
married Douglas Cochran
in Enid, and they made
their home in Arkansas
and then the Wichita,
Kansas area. Thelma was
a homemaker, and she
loved to cook. After
their retirement, they
moved to Daisy. Thelma
was a member of St. Mary
of the Springs Catholic
Church in Hot Springs,
Arkansas.
She is
survived by her husband,
Douglas of the home; son
Robert Gene Cochran of
Kirby, Arkansas;
daughter Linda Kay
Cochran of Wichita,
Kansas; two sisters,
Eugena Keck of Eureka
Springs, Arkansas, and
Frances Vaughn of
Rosehill, Kansas;
sister-in-law Beverly
Hager and husband
Richard of Enid;
brother-in-law Jack
Cochran and wife Norma
of Tempe, Arizona; and
many nieces and nephews.
She was
preceded in death by her
parents, five brothers,
Ira, Toney, Jim, George
& Larry Krkosska; and
one sister, Eleanor
Slape.
