A memorial service for Tom Mills, age 79 of Enid, will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday September 4, 2007 at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Christopher Hall officiating.  A private family burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.

            Tom Mills was born on March 25, 1928 in Delphi, Indiana to Hubert D. and Ruth L. (Jones) Mills and died on September 1, 2007, in Enid, Oklahoma.

            Tom graduated from Delphi High School in 1946.  After briefly attending Indiana University he joined the U.S. Army, where he served in occupied Japan until 1947.  He then went to college in Albuquerque, New Mexico where he met the love of his life, Beverly Jean Casler.  They were married on August 25, 1949.  She preceded him in death in 1982.  Tom was a salesman for the majority of his working years.  He was an avid fisherman and hunter, and loved the outdoors.

            He is survived by his three children, Jeff Mills of Enid, Teri Thorp of Enid, and Kathleen Gash of Fayetteville, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Jami Garis, Kristin Colburn, Kyle Mills, Amelia Mills, Grant Gash, Dillon Gash; four great-grandchildren, Kaylie Garis, Jordan Colburn, Carson Colburn, and Madison Garis; and one brother Robert Mills of Indiana.

            Memorials may be made through the funeral home to The Commons Nursing Center.
