A funeral service
for Margaret Pauline
Thompson, age 67, will
be at 3:00 P.M. Sunday,
March 29, 2009, at the
Anderson-Burris Funeral
Home Chapel, with Rev.
Steve Meier
officiating. Private
committal will be at a
later date in the
I.O.O.F. Cemetery in
Watonga, with
arrangements by
Anderson-Burris Funeral
Home and Crematory.
She was born to
Edward and Naomi
(Turner) DeWolf on July
24, 1941, in Woodward,
and passed away
Thursday, March 26,
2009, at The Living
Center in Enid from
complications of
Progressive Supranuclear
Palsy.
Margaret attended
Watonga High School
before marrying Glen
Thompson on April 14,
1957, in Syracuse,
Kansas. They lived in
many places before
retiring with her
husband in Kremlin.
Before her retirement,
Margaret worked for Art
Carved R. Johns Class
Rings Inc. in Austin,
TX, as a lead
specialist. She had
many hobbies, but
spending time with her
daughters and
grandchildren brought
her the most joy. She
was active in TOPS and
enjoyed the friendships
she had made with the
other members.
She is survived by two
daughters, Glenda
Simmons of Enid, and
Paula Charleston and
husband David of
Manhattan, Kansas; four
granddaughters, Destiny
Collins and husband
Scott of Junction City,
KS, Chrystal Rivers and
husband Jason of
Waukomis, Catherine and
Maecy Charleston of
Manhattan, KS; five
great-grandchildren,
Solomon and Isaac Pardo,
Zoie Rivers, Khalli and
Daylen Rivers, all of
Waukomis; five brothers,
Lawrence DeWolf of
Watonga, Doug DeWolf of
Enid, Bill Keefer of
Kyle, TX, Bob Keefer of
Austin, TX, and Dwain
DeWolf of Kyle, TX; and
two sisters, Patricia
Murray of Lewisville,
TX, and Donna Roberts of
Enid.
She was preceded in
death by her husband
Alfred in 2004, daughter
Tammy Thompson, mother
Naomi Keefer, father Ed
DeWolf, sister Leona
Keefer, and brother
Jackie Keefer.
Memorials may be
made through the funeral
home to O.M.R.F. –
Parkinson Division or
Ross Hospice.
