A memorial mass for
Walter “Jerry” Thomas
Trybus, Jr., age 66, of
Enid, will be Friday,
June 19, 2009 at 1:00 PM
at St. Gregory the Great
Catholic Church with
Rev. Larry Kowalski as
celebrant. Full
military rites by the
U.S. Army Honor Guard
will follow the memorial
mass. Cremation
arrangements are by
Anderson-Burris Funeral
Home and Crematory.
Walter was born on April
10, 1943 in Spangler, PA
to Walter Thomas Sr. and
Helen (Matava) Trybus,
and died June 8, 2009 in
Midwest City, OK.
He grew up in
Pennsylvania and entered
the U.S. Army, serving
his country until his
retirement in 1982. On
June 2, 1962, he married
Dorothy Baker at St.
Benedict Catholic Church
in Carrolltown, PA.
After his retirement, he
worked for 15 years at
Letterkenny Army Depot.
He later worked for
McDermott Cement for 7
years as a truck
driver. They moved to
Enid in January 2009.
He was preceded in
death by his daughter,
Renee Murley, and his
parents.
Jerry is survived by
his wife Dorothy of the
home; two daughters,
Sharon Manning and
husband Russell of
Longmont, CO, and Alison
King and fiancé Kenny
Markes of Drummond, OK;
one son Steven Trybus of
Okla. City; son-in-law
Tad Murley of McKinney,
TX: twelve
grandchildren; two
brothers and their
wives, Robert and Bev
Trybus of Greenwood, VA,
and Gary and Jamie
Trybus on Niles, OH; a
sister and her husband,
Ginger and Bob Sargent
of Myrtle Beach, SC;
nieces and nephews.
Memorials
may be made through the
funeral home to St.
Judes’s or Oklahoma
Medical Research
Foundation – Lung Cancer
division.
