            The funeral for Velois Evelyn Hoffman, 74, of Garber, will be at 1:00 P.M. Friday, Dec. 14, 2007, at Garber First Baptist Church, with Rev. Tom LeGrand officiating.  Burial will be in Garber Cemetery, with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.  Visitation with the family will be Thursday 6:30 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

            She was born to Fred Albert and Laura Edith (Prather) Wolf on Dec. 6, 1933, in Covington, and died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2007 in Enid.

            Velois grew up in Covington and graduated from Covington High School.  On May 29, 1952, she married John Leroy Hoffman, Jr. in Covington, and they made their home in Garber.  She worked at Billings Fairchild Center and Garber Nursing Home.  She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother.  She enjoyed bingo, traveling, working puzzles at Garber XYZ Center, crocheting, babysitting, and camping.  She loved watching grandkids activities and OU football games.  She was a member of First Baptist Church.

            Velois is survived by four sons, David Hoffman and wife Donna of Dumas, TX, Daniel Hoffman and wife Cheryl of Yukon, Terry Hoffman and wife Brenda of Garber, and Larry Hoffman and wife Julie of Garber; two daughters, Linda Heinrich and husband Joe of Billings, and Beverly Payne and husband Billy of Enid; fifteen grandchildren, Dustin Hoffman and wife Melinda, Derek Hoffman and wife Carrie, all of Canyon, TX,  Alicia Beede and John Hoffman, both of Yukon, Justin Heinrich and wife Jackie of Stillwater, Lonna Heinrich of Glencoe, Bryant Hoffman, Tylie Hoffman, Laura Hoffman and Waylan Hoffman, all of Garber, Lynsey Payne and Nicholas Payne of Enid, Melissa Gleisberg of Amarillo,TX, Andrew Gleisberg of Ohio, and Christopher Gleisberg of Dumas, TX; one great grandchild A.J. Gleisberg of Amarillo and a great grandson expected this month.

            She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John Leroy Hoffman Jr., granddaughter Myranda Payne, two brothers Fred Wolf, Jr. and Clarence Ray Wolf.

            Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Garber Ambulance Service or donor’s choice.
