A graveside service for Vera Lucille Stewart, age 74, will be at 2:30 P.M. Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2006, at the Waukomis Cemetery, with Rev. Jerry Holt officiating.  Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

            She was born to Dean and Ruby (Baker) Leard on February 27, 1932, in Vera, Oklahoma, and died Sunday, October 22, 2006, at Greenbrier Nursing Home in Enid.

            She attended schools in Bakersfield, California.  In 1990, she moved to Enid.  Vera worked at Sunnyside and also did private home care.  She was a member of Liberty Southern Baptist Church.  Vera was a beloved mom, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother, who will be dearly missed.

            She is survived by her son James Stewart of Enid; 3 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Earl “Chuck” Leard and wife Maxine of Arizona and Julius Barney Leard; and one sister Willa Dean Parker and companion Bud McConnell of Kansas.

            Vera was preceded in death by two sons, Roy Lee Lane and Roger Harold Lane; and one brother Phillip Leard.
