Virginia M. Boyle, 89,
was promoted to glory to
be with her Lord and
Savior Jesus Christ on
January 27, 2008. She
was born April 14, 1918,
in Wichita, Kansas to
Belva Boyle and Dr.
Jesse Boyle and passed
Sunday at Highland Park
Manor.
Virginia grew up in
Enid, graduated from
Enid High School in
1936, and continued her
education at Phillips
University. As a young
woman she studied the
fine arts and was
talented in ballet,
piano, accordion, and
voice. In her later
years she enjoyed
fashion designing and
painting. Virginia
owned and operated
Virginia B’s Dress Shop
on West Broadway for
twenty years. After
retirement, her passion
was gardening and she
spent her time
maintaining a year with
beautiful flowers and
koi fish ponds. She was
active at the Senior
Citizens Center, a
volunteer for Meals on
Wheels, and a member of
the Central Christian
Church.
Virginia was preceded in
death by her parents,
her brother, Dr. Kenneth
Boyle, and his wife,
Betty.
She is survived by a
niece, Betsy Thomas and
her husband, Bruce of
Enid; great nieces, Lisa
Powell and her husband,
Trey and their two
children of Midlothian,
Texas, and Gina Hansen
and her husband, Tyler,
and their two children
of Fort Worth, Texas.
A graveside service with
the interment of ashes
will be held on Tuesday,
January 29, 2008 at 2:00
p.m. in the Enid
Cemetery under the
direction of
Anderson-Burris Funeral
Home and Crematory.
In lieu of flowers, the
family requests
donations be made to
Autumn Bridge Hospice
through the funeral
home.
