“Wally” Harold Clements,
age 69, will be at 10:00
A.M. Thursday, June 21,
2007, at St. Francis
Xavier Catholic Church,
with Rev. Kevin
Ratterman and Rev.
Ernest Flusche
officiating.
Burial will be in
Memorial Park Cemetery,
with arrangements by
Anderson-Burris Funeral
Home.
He was born
to William Henry and
Opal Pauline (Riggs)
Clements on July 28,
1937, in Enid, and died
Monday, June 18, 2007,
at St. Mary’s Regional
Hospital in Enid.
Wally
grew up in Enid,
graduating from Enid
High School in 1955.
He attended Oklahoma A &
M and served in the
United States Navy.
On April 12, 1957 he
married Bonnie
Breckinridge. He joined
the family business of
Clements Plumbing.
Bonnie passed away in
1979, and he married
Margaret Ford on April
16, 1982 in Enid.
He was a member of St.
Francis Xavier Catholic
Church, Knights of
Columbus, and Men’s
Club. He was
a past Grand Knight
3rd Degree, and Faithful
Comptroller 4th
Degree for many years.
He started the Knights
of Columbus Annual
Thanksgiving Dinner,
which has continued for
twenty-five years.
He was also the cook at
the monthly breakfast.
He was selected for the
2006 Knight of the Year
Award. Wally also
volunteered at Our Daily
Bread. He and his
father were the first
father/son inducted into
Enid Men’s Bowlers
Association Hall of
Fame. He was the
owner of Louie’s Bar &
Grill at Canton Lake.
He recently retired due
to ill health.
Wally is
survived by his wife
Margaret of the home;
his mother, Opal
Clements of Enid; three
sons, Billy Clements of
Wichita, KS, Scott
Clements of Crowley, TX,
and Randy Ford of
Fayetteville, AR; five
grandchildren; two step
grandchildren; four
great-grandchildren; and
one sister, Patricia
Thompson of Houston, TX.
He was
preceded in death by his
first wife, Bonnie in
1979, his father Bill
Clements, and daughter
Lana Clements.
Memorials may
be made through the
funeral home to Our
Daily Bread or Oklahoma
Medical Research
Foundation – Cancer
Division.
