      A funeral service for Ruth Ann Walton, 69, of Enid, will be Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with Reverend Paul Hass officiating.  Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

      Ruth Ann was born on December 25, 1938 in Aline, Oklahoma to Vernon & Ina (Reihm) Stettnisch and died on November 15, 2008 in Enid.  She graduated from Enid High School.  On August 2, 1958, she married Dean Walton at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Enid.  She was a homemaker.  She returned to business school in 1990, and worked for Trans World Airline Tech School in Kansas City, Missouri as a secretary.  Ruth Ann was a great mother that enjoyed her two daughters, granddaughter and great grandchildren.  Ruth and Dean moved back to Enid in 2000.  She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, L.W.M.L., and enjoyed sewing and reading. 

      She is survived by her husband Dean of the home; two daughters & their husbands, Toni & Robert Meacham of Enid, Shelly & Alan Carpenter of Rogers, Arkansas; granddaughter & her husband, Nicole & Brandon Cates of Enid; great grandchildren, Haylie & Kyler Cates of Enid; one brother, Terry Stettnisch of Friendswood, Texas; one sister & her husband, Janette & Donald Knutson of Deer Park, Texas; other relatives and friends.

      Ruth Ann was preceded in death by her parents.
