The
funeral for Warren Dean
Miller, 73, of
Covington, will be at
2:00 PM Tuesday at St.
John’s Lutheran Church,
with Rev. Jerry Brown
and Rev. Tommy Donaldson
officiating.
Burial will be in
Covington Cemetery, with
arrangements by
Anderson-Burris Funeral
Home. Visitation
with the family will be
Monday evening from 6:00
to until 7:30 PM at the
funeral home.
He was born to Elmer
Nova and Nannie Katherin
(Hardin) Miller
Dec. 24, 1933, on the
family farm northeast of
Covington, and died
Friday, Oct. 19, 2007,
at his home in
Covington.
He grew up in
Covington and graduated
from Covington High
School. He
attended Tonkawa College
and two years at Autry
Vo-Tech studying
refrigeration. On
May 30, 1954 he married
Allie Joyce Kriethe in
Covington, where they
made their home.
Warren was the owner and
operator of Miller
Processing and Locker
Plant for many years.
He began working at the
age of 14, and was still
working when the Lord
called him home.
He also worked at Perry
Meat Packing Plant and
Enid Packing Plant.
He always had quarters
or taffy sticks for his
customers’ kids.
He worked hard to make
everyone happy.
He was on the Covington
Cemetery Board for many
years, and was a member
of St. John Lutheran
Church, Covington.
He loved his wife,
children, grandchildren,
great-grandchildren,
nieces, nephews and
friends. He was a
great fisherman and gave
away fish to feed
others. He enjoyed
hunting, going to cattle
sales, being around
friends, talking to and
pleasing his customers.
He played football in
high school and college,
and enjoyed watching
football and going to
football games.
Football was his
favorite, but he would
watch any sport that was
in season.
Warren is survived
by two daughters,
Carolyn Medley of
Lahoma, Cheryl Meyer and
husband Alvin of
Covington; five
grandchildren, Dawnnell
Lamb and husband Earl of
Enid, Julie Stowers and
husband Mike of Garber,
Colby Meyer of
Covington, Austin Meyer
and wife Mindy of
Abilene, TX, Kay Scott
and husband Ernie of
Enid; six
great-grandchildren,
Allie Stowers, McKayla
and Hunter Scott, Ashly
Meyer, Bralee and Dakota
Lamb; brother Jim Miller
and wife Gwen of Perry;
and many nieces and
nephews.
He was preceded in
death by his parents,
Elmer and Nan, wife
Allie Joyce in November,
2001, brother Robert L.
Miller, and sister Betty
Jo Brunken.

made through the funeral
