He was born to Elmer Nova and Nannie Katherin (Hardin) Miller  Dec. 24, 1933, on the family farm northeast of Covington, and died Friday, Oct. 19, 2007, at his home in Covington.

He grew up in Covington and graduated from Covington High School.  He attended Tonkawa College and two years at Autry Vo-Tech studying refrigeration.  On May 30, 1954 he married Allie Joyce Kriethe in Covington, where they made their home.  Warren was the owner and operator of Miller Processing and Locker Plant for many years.  He began working at the age of 14, and was still working when the Lord called him home.  He also worked at Perry Meat Packing Plant and Enid Packing Plant.  He always had quarters or taffy sticks for his customers’ kids.  He worked hard to make everyone happy.   He was on the Covington Cemetery Board for many years, and was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Covington.

He loved his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.  He was a great fisherman and gave away fish to feed others.  He enjoyed hunting, going to cattle sales, being around friends, talking to and pleasing his customers.  He played football in high school and college, and enjoyed watching football and going to football games.  Football was his favorite, but he would watch any sport that was in season.

Warren is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Medley of Lahoma, Cheryl Meyer and husband Alvin of Covington; five grandchildren, Dawnnell Lamb and husband Earl of Enid, Julie Stowers and husband Mike of Garber, Colby Meyer of Covington, Austin Meyer and wife Mindy of Abilene, TX, Kay Scott and husband Ernie of Enid; six great-grandchildren, Allie Stowers, McKayla and Hunter Scott, Ashly Meyer, Bralee and Dakota Lamb; brother Jim Miller and wife Gwen of Perry; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Nan, wife Allie Joyce in November, 2001, brother Robert L. Miller, and sister Betty Jo Brunken.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Healthback Home Health, Hospice Circle of Love and St. John’s Lutheran Church.
