A funeral service for
Myrtle Marie Wasemiller,
92, of Enid, will be
Sunday, Aug. 31, 2008 at
2:30 p.m. in the
Anderson-Burris Chapel
with the Rev. Sheila
Combes-Francis
officiating. Burial
will follow in Memorial
Park Cemetery under the
direction of
Anderson-Burris Funeral
Home. The casket will
be open until service
time on Sunday.
Myrtle was born Sept.
19, 1916 northwest of
Freedom to H.W. and
Bertha Schroeder and
died on Aug. 27, 2008 in
Enid.
She
attended rural grade
school and Northwestern
High School. On Aug. 5,
1938, she married Fabe
Wasemiller in Enid,
where they made their
home. Myrtle was a
salesperson at Boles
Department Store for 15
years and at Cathy’s,
from where she retired.
After Fabe’s retirement,
they spent many good
years traveling with
friends with a travel
club. Myrtle was a
member of the Methodist
church for 58 years and
was converted at the
Grand Avenue Church in
1949. She was an
assistant Sunday School
teacher and a M.Y.F.
leader. Myrtle was a
member of Phi Sigma
Alpha and a volunteer at
the Regional Hospital.
She was a very loving
and giving person to her
family and friends.
She
was preceded in death by
her husband, Fabe on
Jan. 29, 1992, her
parents, son-in-law
Roger, her brothers and
sisters.
She is
survived by her loving
daughter, Patricia
Chesson of Austin, TX;
one grandson and his
wife, Bradley and Doree
Chesson of Tacoma, WA;
three precious great
grandsons, Alec, Wyatt
and Travis Chesson of
Tacoma, WA; one
sister-in-law, Georgia
Schroeder of Gresham,
OR; two half sisters,
Mary Howard and Virgie
Brewer of Ulysses, Ks;
nieces, nephews, and
many friends.
Memorials may be made
through the funeral home
to New Hope United
Methodist Church.
