     The funeral service for Clara Marie Wehling, age 94, will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, September 26, 2009, at the Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Keith Miller officiating.  Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

     She was born to Henry Green and Caroling Matilda (Berkenbile) Driskell on May 1, 1915, in Dover, and died Wednesday, September 23, 2009, in Chickasha.

     Clara attended school at Oak View School in Hennessey.  On July 27, 1935, she married John Wehling at the Presbyterian Church in Enid.  She worked in hospital food service at Enid Memorial, St. Mary’s and Bass Baptist Hospital.  She was a cateress for First Baptist Church for twenty-one years until her retirement in 1996.  Clara was a charter member of Garland Road Baptist Church, and a member of American Business Women’s Association, where she was honored as  ABWA Woman of the Year in 1964 and 1968.  She was a member of First Baptist Church in Enid. 

     She is survived by daughter Glenda Carver and husband Frank of Barry, TX; two sons, Dewayne Wehling and wife Janet of Fort Wayne, IN, and JerryWehling and wife Janice of Chickasha; thirteen grandchildren; thirty-four great grandchildren; and fifteen great great grandchildren.

     Clara was preceded in death by her husband John in 1989, parents Henry and Matilda Driskell, four sisters, and eight brothers.

     Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the Baptist Children’s Home or OMRF – Cancer Division.
