A memorial service for
William Arthur Bush,
Jr., age 79, will be
held for close friends
and family at 2:00 P.M.
Tuesday, April 17, 2007,
at Anderson-Burris
Funeral Home Chapel.
Rev. Jennifer J. Long
will officiate.
Cremation arrangements
are by Anderson-Burris
Funeral Home and
Crematory.
He was born
to William Arthur and
Beulah (Hogsett) Bush on
March 3, 1928, in
Hamilton, Missouri, and
died Friday, April 13,
2007, at his home in
Enid.
William
graduated from Ponca
City High School, and
served in the United
States Navy during World
War II. He later
attended Oklahoma State
University. On
March 21, 1950, he
married Catherine
Singleton in Eureka
Springs, Arkansas, and
they made their home in
Ponca City. He was
an electrician working
in construction, and the
family lived in various
places throughout the
country. He
was a member of First
Christian Church in
Ponca City. They
moved to Enid in 1962.
He is
survived by his wife,
Catherine, of the home;
two sons, William Bush
and wife Janie, and
Terry Bush and wife
Connie, all of Edmond;
two grandchildren, Jason
Bush and fiancée
Jennifer Long, and David
Bush, all of Oklahoma
City; one brother,
Richard Bush of Ponca
City; and one sister
Betty Post of Ponca
City.
He was
preceded in death by his
parents.
Memorials may
be made through the
funeral home to Hospice
Circle of Love.
