A Memorial Mass for William Henry Powell IV, age 22, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, May 10, 2007, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, with Rev. Kevin Ratterman officiating.   Cremation arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.

            He was born to William J. and Desiree (Champagne) Powell on November 26, 1984, at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO, and died in an accident on Saturday, May 5, 2007 in Norman.

            William grew up in Spokane, Washington,  and moved to Enid in 1999.   He was currently serving in the Oklahoma Army National Guard, and had served in Iraq.  He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, and was a Sunday School teacher there.  William was a student at the University of Oklahoma in Norman.

            William is survived by his parents, William and Desiree Powell of Enid, two brothers, Brian Powell and Richard Powell, both of Enid; one sister, Rachel Powell of Palmdale, CA; paternal grandfather, Richard W. Powell of Colorado Springs, CO; and maternal grandfather Reuben Champagne of Phoenix, AZ.
