The funeral for Wilma M. Mitchell, age 89, will be at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, September 25, 2008, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Rick Talley officiating.  Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

             She was born to William A. and Eda May (Fuller) Zimmerman on July 1, 1919, in Isabella, OK, and died Monday, September 22, 2008, in Enid.

             Wilma grew up in Isabella, and attended schools there.  On October 7, 1936, she married George F. Mitchell in Fairview.  After George’s military service was completed, they made their home in Enid.  She was a member of Willow View Methodist Church, Old Timers Dance Club, Moose Lodge, and the Old Cherokee Strip Round-up Club.

             She is survived by her sons Bill Mitchell and wife Phylis of Fairview, and Roger Mitchell and wife Becky of Enid; three grandchildren, Tracy Mitchell of Okla. City, Nicole Salindo of Garfield Heights, OH, and Jenny Goss of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; two great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Shelby Zimmerman of Emporia, KA and Enos Zimmerman of Ft. Scott, KA. 

            Wilma was preceded in death by her husband George, sister Elsie Foster, and an infant son Bobby.
