A funeral
service for Wilma
“Willie” Marie Miller,
age 81, of Enid, will be
at 11:00 A.M. Saturday,
March 1, 2008, at the
Anderson-Burris Funeral
Home Chapel, with Rev.
Steve Williams and Rev.
Everett Ohls
officiating. Burial
will be in Memorial Park
Cemetery with
arrangements by
Anderson-Burris Funeral
Home. Visitation with
the family will be
Friday evening from 6:00
to 7:30 P.M. at the
funeral home.
She was born
to Charles William and
Ada Viola (Brawner)
McGee on April 17, 1926,
on the family farm near
Bison, and died Tuesday,
February 26, 2008, at
Golden Oaks Assisted
Living.
Willie
attended elementary
school in Waukomis, and
then graduated from Enid
High School in 1945.
She then met and married
Morris Lee Dickson in
1948, and they made
their home in Enid. She
was a homemaker, and
raised three children.
Morris died in 1964.
Willie worked for Enid
Public Schools, and was
a secretary at Jackson,
Harrison and Monroe
Elementary Schools,
retiring in 1975. She
then met and married
Clifford C. Miller that
year, and worked along
side Cliff on their farm
in Amorita, OK. They
traveled and enjoyed
seeing a lot of places.
They traveled with the
Air Streamers to Texas
every winter for over
twenty years. Willie
was married to Clifford
for twenty-seven years
before his passing in
March of 2002.
She was a
member of Calvary
Baptist Church most of
her life. She was also
a member of the V.F.W.
Auxiliary and the
Airstream Association.
For the past six years,
she has lived at Golden
Oaks Village, where she
has been very happy and
had lots of friends.
She enjoyed doing word
search puzzle, reading,
and receiving e-mails
from her family and
friends.
Willie is
survived by her
children, Ricky Dean
Dickson and wife Cheryl
of Enid, Steven Craig
Dickson and partner Dean
Kaumavae of Enid, and
Dean Miller and wife
Cindy of Henderson, NV;
ten grandchildren;
fourteen
great-grandchildren;
three great, great
grandchildren; and many
nieces and nephews.
She was
preceded in death by her
husbands, Morris Dickson
and Clifford Miller;
daughter Sandra “Sandy”
Jean Dickson Rainwater;
brother George McGee;
sister Venita McGee
Goeller; stepchildren
Jan A. Miller Meze and
David Miller; two
grandsons, Josh Sublett
and Lon Miller; and
nephew Clifford McGee.
Memorials
may be made through the
funeral home to O.M.R.F.
– Heart, Diabetes or
Arthritis Divisions, or
ALS Foundation.
