Brad Mendenhall officiating.  Burial will follow in Covington Cemetery with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.  A visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Clara was born to John Wiley and Mary Elizabeth (Brown) Howe on February 11, 1913 in Citra, Oklahoma and died on Friday October 3, 2008 in Enid.

Clara married Rev. Herley Arlis Wilson on January 14, 1933 in Dexter, New Mexico.  She was a Pastor’s wife for more than fifty-four years and a mother that took pride in raising seven children.  She was an avid reader and being a Republican and knowing who was running for office and what they stood for was important to her.  Clara was a member of First Assembly of God Church, a member of the Women’s Ministries, and a nursing home minister for several years.

She is survived by her seven children John Wilson and wife Suzanne of Tulsa, Kenneth  Wilson and wife Melba of McAlester,  Dean Wilson and wife Janet of Aubrey, TX., Wanda Walker and husband Donald, Wilma Parnell and husband Rex, Anita Sewell, and Kaylene Balzer and husband Bryan all of Enid; thirty-two grandchildren; sixty-five great-grandchildren; and four great great-grandchildren.

Clara was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, three grandchildren, three sisters, two brothers, and her parents.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to First Assembly of God Missions.  Condolences may be made online at ab@andersonburris.com.
