Janet Elizabeth Wilton,
age 72, of Enid will be
held at 7:00 P.M.
Tuesday October 14, 2008
at Anderson-Burris
Funeral Home Chapel with
Deacon Tony Crispo
officiating. The Mass
of Christian Burial will
be at 12:00 P.M.
Wednesday October 15,
2008 at St. Francis
Xavier Catholic Church
with Father Kevin
Ratterman officiating.
Burial will follow in
Calvary Cemetery, Enid
with arrangements by
Anderson-Burris Funeral
Home.
Janet was born to John
and Frances (Mann)
Keegan of Doon, IA on
September 15, 1936. Due
to the complications of
the birth of twins, she
was born in the Iowa
City, Iowa hospital.
She died on Sunday
October 12, 2008 at her
home in Enid.
She grew up in Doon,
Iowa where she graduated
from Doon High School,
and then moved to Enid
in 1956. On March 16,
1957 she married Melvin
Wilton in Enid where
they made their home.
Janet was a member of
St. Francis Xavier
Catholic Church, where
she was active in the
Mary Magdalene Study
Club, the Altar Society
(past president), KOC
Auxiliary, and a
volunteer at St. Mary’s
Hospital. Both Melvin
and Janet volunteered
their time at Our Daily
Bread for many years.
Janet served as director
of bereavement dinners
at St. Francis for many
years.
Janet is survived by
Melvin her husband of 51
years of the home;
daughter Patricia
Johnson, husband Phil,
and grandchildren
Andrew, Peter, and
Elizabeth of Marietta,
GA; son Thomas Wilton,
wife Sally, and
grandchildren Henry and
Samuel of Oklahoma City,
OK; twin brother Jack
Keegan and wife Carol of
Edina, MN; brother Bill
Keegan and wife Alice of
Scottsdale, AZ; sister
Mary Rosenberg and
husband Dean of Sioux
Falls, SD; sister in law
Dee Keegan of Doon, IA;
brother in law Louis
Tysver of Storm Lake,
IA; twenty eight nieces
and nephews; and many
other friends and
relatives.
She was preceded in
death by her parents;
sister Donna Breuer and
husband Jim, sister
Connie Tysver, brother
Patrick Keegan and wife
Mary, and brother Joe
Keegan. The family
wishes to thank Hospice
Circle of Love.
