A memorial service for
Roger E. Wright, 73, of
Enid, will be Wednesday,
October 8, 2008 at 1:00
p.m. in the Government
Springs Park. There
will be no visitation or
viewing at the funeral
home. Cremation
arrangements are by
Anderson-Burris Funeral
Home & Crematory.
Roger was born on May 4,
1935 in Lenora, Idaho to
Lyle E. and Bernice
(Taylor) Wright and died
on October 2, 2008 in
Enid. He grew up in
Idaho and Michigan.
Roger served in the U.S.
Air Force for 20 years,
stationed in Germany,
Alaska, and Greenland.
Following his discharge
he made his home in
Washington, the
Carolinas, and
California. In the late
1980s, he made Enid his
home. He worked in the
oilfield and later as a
janitor at Enid News &
Eagle. He married
Rosemary Fotheringham on
March 25, 2006 in
Hennessey. They
attended the Cowboy
Church. Roger loved to
fish.
He was preceded in death
by two brothers, Robert
& Raymond; one sister,
Margaret; and a son,
Joshua Fleck.
He is survived by his
wife, Rosemary of the
home; five children and
their spouses, Debra &
Robert Whitsit, Mary &
Don Haner, all of
Wichita, KS, Steven &
Janet Fleck of Port
Orchard, WA, Jared &
Stephanie Fleck of
Bellingham, WA, and
Glenn & Shelby Miller of
WA; 12 grandchildren, 6
great grandchildren;
four brothers, Jim &
wife, Josie Wright of
Muskegon, MI, Richard &
wife, Donna Wright of
Walla Walla, WA, Vernon
Wright of Muskegon, MI,
and William & Barbara
Wright of Port Orchard,
WA; two sisters, Juanita
& husband, Jerry Pearson
of Port Orchard, WA and
Janice Hanson & husband,
David Wolf of Muskegon,
MI; and other relatives
and friends.
