A funeral service for Susan Kay Young, 51, of Enid, will be Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the New Hope United Methodist Church with Dr. Sheila Combs-Francis officiating.  Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. 

Susan was born on February 10, 1958 in Salt Lake City, Utah to William Bovee and Catherine Hazel (Krause) Dods III and died on January 21, 2010 in Enid, Oklahoma. 

She grew up in California and Oklahoma.  Susan attended Drumright VoTech and received her L.P.N. degree.  She later moved to Enid, where she worked in several nursing homes including, Methodist Home, Golden Oaks and Greenbrier.  Susan enjoyed listening to music. 

She was preceded in death by her father and an infant son, Timmy Lee Harper. 

She is survived by her children, Stephanie Dean Conley of Missouri and Shannon Bruce Young of Enid; her mother Catherine Dods of Phoenix, AZ; two brothers, Frank Bovee Dods and Michael Bovee Dods, both of Enid; three sisters, Cindy Lou Ament of Owasso, OK, Terrie Lynn Christian of Oklahoma City, and Sandra Marie Baker of Abilene, TX; two grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and friends. 

Memorials may be made to the funeral home in her name.
