Funeral service for Howard Dennis “Denny” Crites, 71, of Goltry, will be 2:00PM, Saturday, May 4, 2019, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Lester Lowry officiating. Burial will follow in Karoma Cemetery, in Goltry. Visitation for family and friends will be Friday evening 6:00 to 7:30 at Anderson-Burris. Denny was born February 23, 1948, in Enid, to Howard Raymond, and Juanita (Replogle) Crites, and passed away on Monday, April 29, 2019 in Enid. Denny grew up in Jet and graduated from Jet High School. He played football and was a good football player. He then joined the National Guard. He attended college in Beloit, Kansas and Wichita Business College. Denny was a house builder in Arkansas and Oklahoma. He also worked at Farmland as a contract maintenance supervisor. He was employed by S. Crow Painting. He attended Central Assembly of God. His hobbies included fishing, going to Branson, and spending time with family. Denny married Linda Green on December 21, 1996 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Denny is survived by his wife Linda; children Peter Copeland (Judy) of Hobart, Oklahoma, Melanie Chandler (Mark) of Enid, Melissa Crites of Enid, Stefanie Douglas (Freddie) of El Campo, Texas, Crystal Smith (T.C.) of Abilene, Texas, Carrie Perry (Andy) of Pond Creek, and Tracy Sanders of Enid; 15 grandchildren Brittani & Braeden, Tommy & Cash, Brooklyn & Brenlee, Stratton & Sawyer, Allison & Karter, Ashley, Tiffany,& Jeremy, Clint & Eylse; 11 great grandchildren; sister Sondra Hays (Bob) of Enid; and brother-in-law Ronnie Jones; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Jorene Jones, and niece Kandace Taylor. Memorials may be made through Anderson-Burris to OMRF- Leukemia.
